If you’ve got voltage problems on your DI or RFI powered Sea Doo, that’s usually due to a bad rectifier. An indication of a bad rectifier could be “12V Low” indicated on the display, a high voltage reading (using a voltmeter), or a battery that won’t stay charged. The original rectifier on 1998-2004 models wasn’t strong enough and those skis use lots of power so a stock regulator doesn’t last long. What we offer here is a brand new heavier duty 4TEC Rectifier with the correct plugs so it goes right in place of your old rectifier. Once this one’s installed, you’re not going to get stranded again due to a bad rectifier and dead battery. Many have already done this conversion by cutting and splicing it into their plug but we're the first to actually offer a new plug in ready to go unit. If you bought the items offered (rectifier, plugs, terminals) from your local dealer, it would cost you at least $175 so save some money and time!

Note this one will also plug into any 787 powered Sea Doo that has a 278001073/278001240 rectifier. Those skis normally don’t have charging issues but if you want a bulletproof system, this one should do the trick. Note as with DI/RFI skis, this unit won’t bolt in place of the 1073/1240 so you’ll have to improvise a mount.

  • Works with all DI and RFI powered Sea Doos.
  • Replaces Sea Doo p/n 278001554 / 278001241 (also can replace 278001073 / 278001240)
  • Has proper connections for easy installation!
  • This unit isn’t guaranteed to bolt into where your old rectifier went but it should work in most instances. At worst case you may need longer bolts or zip ties (Lowes/Home Depot items) to retain the new unit in the proper place depending on your application. There are many different Sea Doo models therefore many mountings for the original part so please don’t ask us about compatibility since we don’t have that info.

Note that as is the case with your local dealer, there is no warranty on new or used electrical parts purchased from us. The reason is that we buy electrical parts with no warranty from our supplier so can't return one no matter what the situation. Since you're ultimately the one who wants to get back on the water, you assume all risk for purchasing a replacement part and agree you will not hold us responsible if it doesn't work or doesn't fix your particular problem. All electrical parts are thoroughly tested at the factory before being shipped to us so they should be in proper working condition when you receive one. We sell lots of aftermarket parts with few complaints but part failures do rarely occasionally happen so keep that in mind when considering an aftermarket part. Finally, you'll need to make sure all other electrical components are in proper working condition BEFORE installing a replacement part.

Note although this site might say we have these in stock, these are a popular part so sometimes we may not be able to ship right away due to low/no stock. if you're interested in getting one of these fast, make sure to contact us and ask about actual availability before ordering.

A NOTE ABOUT 4TEC RECTIFIERS... TO TELL IF IT'S A GOOD QUALITY OEM TYPE HEAVY DUTY DESIGN RECTIFIER, THE FINS MUST RUN IN LINE WITH THE BOLT HOLES AS SHOWN ON OURS. YOU MIGHT SEE CHINESE ONES OUT THERE AND THE WAY TO EASILY SPOT ONE IS WHEN THE FINS RUN IN THE DIRECTION OF THE HARNESS. WE BOUGHT ONE OF THE CHEAP IMITATIONS JUST TO SEE HOW IT WORKED AND WHEN PLUGGED IN, IT GOT SO HOT WE COULDN'T TOUCH IT. THE REASON APPARENTLY IS THEIR HEAT SINK IS WAY TOO SMALL. WE USE IT FOR A PAPERWEIGHT NOW.

TECH TIP...
If you're installing an impeller on a Sea Doo, don't follow the manual when it calls for red loctite on the threads... use anti-sieze instead. That way if you want to take it apart again you can. We've built hundreds of pumps now with anti-seize and it works great!
