This tool is a must have for tuning any pwc or jetboat that uses Mikuni SBN carburetors. Since we've found these can be expensive from Mikuni, we've decided to build and offer this heavy duty more economical unit. We're sure you think it's easy to build one of these but that's not the case. We get the parts to build this from at least 4 different sources. If you have plenty of free time, you could hunt around and put one together or consider saving you some time and effort with ours. It's built with new non corrosive all brass fittings and a new high quality gauge. Once assembled, every unit is partially submerged in water to insure no leaks are present.

This unit can be used for pressure testing and properly setting Mikuni popoff and also works well for checking your Sea Doo jet pump after an oil change to make sure the seal and o-ring are ok. Setting popoff correctly is an important step when rebuilding any Mikuni SBN Carburetor and helps avoid problems once out on the water. For testing popoff, this specs page and this tuning page should provide all the info needed. For testing your pump, you apply some pipe sealant to the threads then install the adapter in the cone fill opening. Then connect the pumps hose and pressurize to 5 psi. If it holds for a minute without dropping, your pump is ok.

  • Easy to read gauge from 0-60 psi (Note Gauge might differ in brand and design from one pictured)
  • Includes a 1/8 npt brass hose barb for testing Sea Doo 2 stroke pumps too!

(NOTE THIS DOESN'T COME WITH A PUMP - YOU NEED TO USE YOUR BICYCLE PUMP)

TECH TIP...
If you're installing an impeller on a Sea Doo, don't follow the manual when it calls for red loctite on the threads... use anti-sieze instead. That way if you want to take it apart again you can. We've built hundreds of pumps now with anti-seize and it works great!
