Over time Sea Doo carbs get corrosion and internal problems that finally make replacement necessary. We've seen many different people selling individual carbs that don't include all the important parts needed for a complete and proper installation so we put the package below together to help with that project. The chart a little farther down the page will tell which Sea Doo years/models this carb set works with.

The package offered in this sale features OEM Mikuni carbs and parts instead of inferior aftermarket parts. Included is a properly set up pair of carbs ready to bolt on. Even if your Sea Doo didn't originally come with an accelerator pump, this set will work. It's already jetted from the factory for your application and may only require a little fine tuning by reading the plugs once water testing to get it running perfect. Also since these do feature an accelerator pump, they make cold starting much easier since all you do is squeeze the throttle a couple times to prime with gas. Additionally, these carbs are a new design superior to the originals in the fact that they incorporate plastic bushings between the carb mount bolts and carb body. That means no more problems with corroded bolts preventing you from removing the set for routine service.

Note if replacing an accel carb set with these, you'll need to reuse some of the fuel lines and a few other related parts off your dual set to install these. Note too since there are many different bracket/endplate combinations on factory Sea Doo carbs, you may also occasionally have to utilize your factory brackets/endplates/bolts in some situations.

Note if you are using these in place of non accel carbs (some 1995-1997 models), not you'll need to initial adjust these to accel carb specs (see chart below). They also have slightly different angles on the fittings to clear the accel pump so see the pic at the bottom of the page for how to plumb them so they work for you. You will also have to add a couple of pieces of 1/8" id hose and a “T” for the accel pumps to connect the two carbs together since those aren't included. If you need accel hose for this set, your local hobby store should carry 1/8 fuel hose and the "T" suitable for that.

  • Includes a pair of oem Mikuni carbs set up with Main Jetting of 140 on the Mag carb and 142.5 on the PTO carb and Pilot Jets are 67.5. The carbs also have 1.5 needle valves with 95gr springs and the oem popoff setting spec is 36-40psi. Once installed you'll need to properly adjust/tune for your application. If different jet sizes and/or needle valve springs are needed, we also stock most sizes as well.
  • Includes Two (2) carb base gaskets.
  • Includes One (1) NEW oem dual carb linkage rod

This kit works on the following Sea Doo Watercraft...

    * DENOTES THIS DUAL SET IS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT FOR THE OEM SET

** NOTE 1997 XP USES A 147.5 JET IN PTO CARB AND 65 PILOT JETS. YOU CAN USE THIS CARB SET ON A 1997 XP BUT YOU'LL EITHER NEED TO CLOSE THE LS ADJUSTERS A LITTLE AND OPEN UP THE PTO HS ADJUSTER, OR CHANGE JETTING TO 1997 XP SPECS

*** NOTE 1997 CHALLENGER / CHALLENGER 1800 USES A 145 JET IN PTO CARB AND 65 PILOT JETS. YOU CAN USE THIS CARB SET ON A 1997 CHALLENGER / CHALLENGER 1800 BUT YOU'LL EITHER NEED TO CLOSE THE LS ADJUSTERS A LITTLE AND OPEN UP THE PTO HS ADJUSTER, OR CHANGE JETTING TO 1997 CHALLENGER / CHALLENGER 1800 SPECS

NOTE SINCE THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT SETUPS ON SEA DOOS, THESE CARBS MAY NEED SLIGHT MODS AND/OR CHANGES TO MAKE THEM WORK PROPERLY. ALSO NOTE THE ADJUSTMENT SPECS ABOVE ARE FOR THIS NEW DUAL CARB SET (NOT FOR YOUR ORIGINAL CARBS).

Note when using this carb set to replace a non-accel carb set on earlier models, for carb adjustment specs you'll need to use the specs above as a baseline for tuning. Also note when using this carb set to replace a non-accel carb set on earlier models, these will need to have the fuel lines in different positions than on your current non-accel set. The way these accel pump carbs are plumbed is the fuel in from the canister filter connects to a fitting on the carb fuel pump. Then the top two lines on the carbs connect together with the Y fitting and go to the return line. The bottom two carb fittings are joined together by a short piece of hose.

Note although this site might say we have these in stock, these are a popular part so sometimes we may not be able to ship right away due to low/no stock. if you're interested in getting one of these fast, make sure to contact us and ask about actual availability before ordering.

If you've bought one of our carb kits, a great page by GroupK that details the procedures for carb fine tuning can be found HERE

TECH TIP...
If you're installing an impeller on a Sea Doo, don't follow the manual when it calls for red loctite on the threads... use anti-sieze instead. That way if you want to take it apart again you can. We've built hundreds of pumps now with anti-seize and it works great!
